About us
Experience
I have over 30yrs experience as a professional driver. I have worked in and around transport and logistics for over 37 years. I have driven many types of vehicle professionally from vans to articulated lorries, I have worked in transport management and logistics for the NHS.
I have been a DVSA Fleet Trainer training professional drivers and a KCC speed awareness trainer.
I am also a DVSA Pass Plus instructor.
I have completed a mental health first aid course with the charity Mind as well as a more conventional first aid course as well.
History
Move On Up is a driving school that was established with the goal of teaching individuals of all ages and backgrounds how to drive safely. I am proud to be a Grade A instructor, who is a family man and has been an instructor since 2007.
I worked for a couple of large driving schools and did not like the way they placed profit over pupils. They concentrated on recruiting people to train as instructors rather than teaching learners. So, I am now proud to run my own driving school as well as working in the commercial sector with driver assessments and coaching.
I've helped many people over the years to become confident drivers (including my own daughters and step-children).

I provide driving lessons with discounts and extras to fit your budget and availability.
I am a very patient instructor and like to make your learning experience as enjoyable as possible.
I supply free theory test training via my free app to help you pass the driving theory test as soon as possible.
About the car and Insurance
You will be driving a Ford Fiesta 'Vignale'.
It is a top of the range model and has all the extras to make sure you are comfortable during your lessons
The car is equipped with dual controls, and fully insured, ensuring that you feel safe and secure while learning to drive. As a member of MSAGB.
I have public liability insurance and the support of being a member of the MSA.
